As Learning & Development Officer (Driver Training), your role will require you to plan, develop, facilitate and evaluate cost effective Driver training across the Group, according to the organisational needs. As a member of the Driver Training Team, you will work with both new and existing Drivers, ensuring the provision of the highest customer service standards and quality expected from our Drivers is maintained.

Core duties and responsibilities:

• Deliver relevant NVQ or equivalent qualifications, including First Aid, Customer Service, Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity

• Update, design and deliver Driver induction and other relevant programmes where required

• Carry out quality assessments throughout the Learner journey, ensuring progression and completion dates are on target

• Liaise with Department Managers, Internal Quality Assurers, Colleges and Awarding Bodies, to ensure expectations and standards are met

• Maintenance and update of training programme calendar

• Determine impact of any legislation/regulatory body changes on programme delivery and communicate effectively

• Upkeep of Learning Management System, including authoring, training records of statutory and refresher programmes

• Ensure all relevant administration duties are accurate and up to date (Learner databases, College paperwork, Reports)

• Continually develop own behaviours, skills and knowledge to ensure an up to date understanding of learning and development practices, along with industry specific information

• Flexible approach, undertaking any other duties as required by the needs of the business and commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience and role level The ideal candidate will be/have: -

• A relevant training qualification

• A Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA), or equivalent, or working towards

• A wide knowledge of learning techniques and styles

• A resilient self-starter, comfortable with creating and facilitating programmes

• Impeccable written and spoken English communication skills

• A confident telephone manner

• Excellent time management and planning skills with an ability to meet deadlines and targets

• IT Skills - Microsoft Office, Shamrock and desire to learn the Learning Management Systems as well as Adobe Creative Suite
